October in Czech republic is definitely my favourite. As the autumn reaches its peak, the landscape is transformed into a palette of warm orange and red colours.
Here are some spots that are worth a visit, especially in autumn!

Svatoš Rocks (Svatošské skály)
Located near Karlovy Vary, the Svatos Rocks are a stunning natural rock formation that is perfect for a peaceful autumn walk. The round trip from Doubí along the river is very easy and takes about 1.5 hours (~5 km).
The route is here.

Loket Castle
For those craving a longer adventure, continue along the blue trail from Svatoš Rocks to Loket Castle. This castle lies on the Ohře river and is surrounded by a forest that bursts into an autumn colour palette.

Mattoni Museum in Kyselka
On the way back, a quick stop at the Mattoni Museum in Kyselka is a great way to end the day. Although the museum was closed during our visit, it offers a glimpse into the history of the famous Mattoni brand, founded by Heinrich Mattoni. The historical atmosphere of the area makes it worth a short visit, even if just for a peek.

Karlovy Vary
Though we didn’t stay long ☺︎, the famous spa town of Karlovy Vary was a lovely place, full of tourists and mineral springs.
The city is a unique experience. However, the busy atmosphere encouraged us to move on very quickly, trading crowds for nature. Still, it's worth a stop for anyone who wants to experience the charm of a classic European spa town.
